Literature Text
By chance alone I was here
To witness your passing
Your black velvet painting eyes
So large and luminous
Could have seen me off instead
Now a Nymph for all time
Bitter/sweet cliches
Clamor for attention
The mind a blur of well meaning
Suffering my foolish self
I try and let you go
As if I have some kind of power
Over these things
To witness your passing
Your black velvet painting eyes
So large and luminous
Could have seen me off instead
Now a Nymph for all time
Bitter/sweet cliches
Clamor for attention
The mind a blur of well meaning
Suffering my foolish self
I try and let you go
As if I have some kind of power
Over these things

Where are you now,
What do you do,
Where have you wandered my quaint little you,
Of all the paths,
From all of our days,
This one was never far from the craze,
It flickered and glowed,
Danced here and there,
But now burns to brightly for me to quite share,
How could it be,
Through too bright light,
I see shadows and darkness grin with delight,
All of my-selves,
We beg for more,
While brain and caring are pushed to the floor.

God likes Red Hair
The fish are still
In the shallows of your soul
But you get what you pay for
I think I’ll open a vein and call for a nurse
She’ll bring a needle the size of your heart
You would wonder what
I’m talking about if
You had a stick so long
It’s a contest to see who really ruined everything
And I’m gonna make a play. Who knows?
It hasn’t crossed my mind
In two pages of quelling rages
No more will I see you
I seem to do everything in five stanzas
It’s a pattern in a Universe where random is a pattern
And nothing gets done if it doesn’t break the mold
You did so long

there's a whole in your heart
that i'll dig my way into,
twist myself around to fill your gaps and
tangle in all your crevices
until i can make you whole
